About

Hello. Welcome to Love To Play Music!

My name is Keh-Lee. I am a Conservatorium (Sydney) trained teacher with over 15 years experience teaching piano in my home studios and K-12 Music in the classroom.

Music was always a priority during my childhood days. I spent my weekends performing in Piano Eisteddfods around Sydney and attending the Sydney Conservatorium 'Young Performers' Artist' Program which is now known as the 'Rising Stars' Program. I completed the Bachelor of Music(Music Education) majoring in Piano with teacher and mentor, acclaimed Aria Award winner Gerard Willems.

I count myself to be very fortunate in having these invaluable experiences. This has nurtured and allowed me to develop a holistic approach to my pedagogy.

My aim is to ensure that students' musical journeys are 'authentic'. This means being
thorough and covering all aspects of Music from choosing 'relevant' repertoires, developing performance technique and ensemble skills where appropriate, preparing aural skills, working through sight reading materials, listening and analysing various styles and developing and creating compositions.

Students who are hardworking and assertive have excelled (e.g A+ high distinctions in AMEB, band 6 HSC with Encore nomination) in their AMEB and/or HSC examinations under my guidance.  I encourage
students through positive and constructive feedback during lessons and have a
firm understanding of the various learning styles. My approach
embraces a combination of traditional and 21st century learning to engage with
students' needs and interests.

I currently teach piano, theory and assist students in preparing for the HSC Music Examinations in my studios in
West Pennant Hills & Coogee
